Nancie Ludwig, 46, has been a Randolph resident for the past seven years and a New Jersey resident for the past ten and a half years. During that time, she has been active in a variety of community organizations and has served in leadership roles within many of these groups. She has been a long time member of the Newcomers’ and Neighbors’ Club of Randolph and served as President in 2005. In addition, Ludwig has been an active member and leader of the “Friends of the Randolph Library.” She has served on the Randolph PTA, and continues to help with Blood Drives sponsored by Randolph Schools each year. Ludwig is also currently Co-Chair of the Randolph Municipal Alliance Committee which helps provide education and prevention strategies to our community for combating abuse in the area of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Drug use. Ludwig has also been an active participant in Morris Habitat for Humanity, and has been involved in not only home renovation initiatives, but also local fund-raising and help with the Habitat for Humanity Restore in Mine Hill. In February 2008, Ludwig was awarded the Golden Hammer Award by the Morris Chapter for her commitment to volunteerism. Ludwig also serves on the Worship and Music Ministry at Morris Plains Presbyterian Church. She is currently coordinator of the local Young Democrats and Secretary of the Randolph Democratic Committee. Ludwig has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Austin Peay State University in Tennessee and has many years of experience in university and industry laboratory research. She is the mother of two teenage sons and has been married for more than 20 years. Ludwig's commitment to local politics is based on her determination that representation in local government should truly reflect the will of the people. |
