VOTE NOVEMBER 7TH 2006
Commitment to Community
Whether you are a Republican, Democrat, or Independent, locally we are all Residents of Randolph. We believe that as Randolph Residents, the town council has a responsibility to make decisions on the basis of what is the best for Randolph, not upon partisan political considerations.
Our team is committed to a local government that is open to multiple opinions and multiple points of view, so that everyone can be a part of the process.
Volunteerism and community service is vital and should be encouraged in our township. Participating in town, on a board or committee should not depend on what party you belong to or who you contribute money to, or how “connected” you are to the leadership
Conservation of Green Spaces
One of the reasons that we all moved to Randolph is its beautiful combination of country atmosphere and large town amenities . We believe that the town has been built up enough, and we support preserving the green space that we have left .We oppose the building of additional housing developments. Experience has shown that these developments lead to increased school budgets and higher taxes, increased need for emergency services, traffic congestion, and loss of the precious character of the town.
We support preserving Randolph Mountain and Center Road !
Our team supports maintaining the natural beauty of Randolph for future generations to enjoy.
End the Supermajority
A supermajority (5 out of 7 members of the council are of one party) means that one party can make all the decisions, can decide when to borrow money, and can decide for you how your tax money gets spent. One party should not have a monopoly and all the power. Randolph deserves a two party system, so that EVERYBODY’S voice can be heard.
Fiscal Responsibility
Our team is committed to being fiscally responsible to the residents We would eliminate “pay to play” by passing laws that prevent attorneys, engineers and other vendors from giving campaign contributions in exchange for lucrative no bid contracts.
We also support giving our police officers the support and manpower that they need to do their jobs and keep us safe.
