ELECTION 2008
The 2008 election was a wonderful coordinated effort of residents and volunteers, which resulted in a terrific voter turnout! Congratulations on helping our community reinvest in the political process in great numbers, and of course, for being a part of one of the most historic elections of all time, which culminated in the election of the first US President of African-American descent, Senator Barack Obama. Although the evening was bittersweet for local and county Democrats who may not have realized their goal of reshaping public office to improve our great state, Democrats, Americans and people throughout the world are hopeful that the change we need is now on its way!

WINE AND CHEESE FUNDRAISER
Randolph Democrats recently held a wine and cheese fundraiser for the Democratic candidates and it was a great event! Thanks to everyone who participated.

RANDOLPH FREEDOM FESTIVAL
The Randolph Freedom Festival Parade and Voter Registration Drive was a BIG SUCCESS!!
Randolph Democrats joined the Morris County for Obama group, the Morris Plains Democrats and the Democratic Candidates for Randolph Town Council to celebrate Randolph's Freedom Festival. We sincerely wish to thank each and every one of you who walked in the parade, staffed the voter registration booth, came out to watch the parade, or were with us in spirit.
Special recognition and congratulations goes out to two terrific organizers - Nancie Ludwig, who did such a great job coordinating all of the details of the parade, and Helen Jacobsen for her great job in coordinating the voter registration event. In addition to registering many new voters, we also met many new democrats from Randolph and surrounding towns who expressed an interest in joining us. We also had more Democrats marching in this parade than ever before, with a very cordial (if not downright friendly and supportive) response from the crowd along the parade route!
We also wish to recognize and thank our friends from the Morris Plains Democrats for joining us in the parade, and to acknowledge the Morris County for Obama group, and their coordinator Miriam Chipoletti, who also did a tremendous job with the voter registration drive. Thanks to everyone!
